Ensayo sobre los otros animales, la pandemia de Covid-19 y el especismo

Resumen


El Covid-19 está probablemente causado por la explotación de los otros animales. ¿Qué posibilita que la mayoría de las humanas continúen sus vidas con normalidad sin cuestionar su relación con los animales no humanos? Sin duda, esa construcción social llamada especismo que presupone la superioridad humana sobre el resto de individuos vivos, conducente a la explotación de estos. Es un sesgo que se extiende a través de las culturas y hace que las humanas no quieran conectar la explotación animal con las consecuencias resultantes, incluida la catástrofe actual.

Con esta investigación iniciamos el itinerario para establecer un discurso tentacular de carácter socio-científico y documentar cómo el especismo naturaliza la explotación de los otros animales mostrando que los patógenos zoonóticos, que se describen como saltando a las humanas, son la excusa para neutralizar el rol humano y eximirle de su responsabilidad, amagando, a su vez, su carácter explotador.
